National HPRC Repository

An Air Force sponsored STTR project, the HPRC Repository is an Internet accessible library of algorithms, optimized for high performance reconfigurable computing systems, along with expert system-based tools for using the repository.

The new tools are unique in that they are the first (to our knowledge) HDL customization tools that eliminate the need for a hardware engineer when porting generic algoritms to different FPGA and CPLD execution platforms.

The new system also includes a “cottage industry” repository where independent algorithm developers may market their efforts without having to first establish their own marketing and fulfillment infrastructure, and where corporate customers may obtain a wide range of intellectual property products wihtout a need to directly deal with dozens of individual providers.

The project will provide both free and licensed tools and models. This approach provides entry-level tools and free/economical IP to disadvantaged users while concurrently providing customizable tools and interfaces for integration into high-end EDA products.

Currently under development, the repository is scheduled to go live during Q4 of calendar 2010.
