Wearable Supercomputer
Our new WSC-1 (Wearable Supercomputer model -1) is currently in Beta testing.
The WSC-1 and its partner product the turboSOAâ„¢ application deployment platform are paradigm changing new products that will revolutionize the use of high-performance computing (HPC) by enabling field-portable applications.
Imagine the new capabilities application developers will provide to your enterprise when small cluster performance is available on a single wearable platform and multiple wearable units automatically form ad-hoc clusters as users come together in groups.
Initially developed to support defense applications such as computer assisted training, battlespace simulation, and mission planning, the WSC-1 will also find highly productive applications in: homeland security, transportation, healthcare, public safety, earth resource exploration, agriculture, wildlife management, aviation safety, augmented reality, scientific visualization, and many more.
For the first time information scientists have the ability to take the high performance computer to the data source rather than bringing the data to the computer. As both developer and user communities learn how to exploit the benefits of wearable high performance computing we will see unprecedented capability and productivity advances as HPC becomes part of our daily routine.
The WSC-1 has been developed for both standalone applications, where the platform delivers sustained performance equivalent to as many as ten conventional single CPU systems and in ad-hoc clusters, where any number of wearable machines automatically integrate into a hardware accelerated application server.
